Jeffrey Denman - Director, Choreographer
JEFFRY DENMAN Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, Callaway Award nominee, IRNE and Backstage Bistro award winner. Jeffry is a choreographer, director, actor, and writer. He choreographed the off Broadway productions ofYANK , Naked Boys Singing as well as Leslye Headland’s Assistance at Playwright’s Horizons and Bullet for Adolfas well as the NYMF production of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. He has directed and choreographed over a dozen installments of the Broadway by the Year staged concerts at Town Hall. He has also directed and choreographed for the 92nd Street Y’s Lyrics and Lyricists series. Regionally he was director/choreographer forDamn Yankees: The Red Sox Version at Ogunquit Playhouse and Thoroughly Modern Millie at Tuacahn Center for the Arts. He also choreographed The Music Man and West Side Story for Ogunquit Playhouse. This summer he will be choreographing Mary Poppins for Gateway and Ogunquit Playhouses. As an actor, he appeared on Broadway in the original companies of White Christmas, The Producers, How To Succeed and Dream and was a member of the final cast of Cats. Off Broadway he appeared in YANK, CSC’sPassion, Children of a Lesser God, as well as Encores Face the Music and Of Thee I Sing. Regionally he has appeared in A Civil War Christmas (CenterStage), Into the Woods (Westport/CenterStage), Crazy for You (NSMT, Ogunquit Playhouse), Singin in the Rain (Muny), Dinner with Friends (Portland Stage), Spamalot (Ogunquit), A Chorus Line (Pioneer).
He is the author of the book, A Year with The Producers and is the co-creator of CastPRO, an iPad app for casting.
